My dad could not have tried to have been a better father. He lived for me. I still talk to him everyday, and he is still and will always be a huge influence on my life. His presence is always with me.

Chris,
It is so unbelievable that you left us almost 1 year ago. I think about you every day and wonder if things would have been different, would you still be with us? I think about all the things you miss as your son grows as we use to go watch him do anything and everything. I know he misses you; I asked. If you can actually watch mine and Karlton's lives, I am sure you would be proud of us. When people walk in the home I usually wonder "what would the dogs do if Chris walked in?" Would they remember him? We were together more than half our lives and I have known you since I was 13. I still know you of course; you just aren't here in body. You will always be in my heart and in my mind.

dear pat and karlton. it was so great to be with you both last weekend at chris's memorial service. we love you so much and see what a beautiful family you had. The community you live in really loves you all. may your memories sustain you and we are your family as well. if we can get closer through our loss i hope and pray that we will. love, sue tillman, sister

Im really gonna miss Mr. T and all of his help and advice, it will be different with him not around. He showed he showed us things never knew about our cars, helped us make every idea we had into a reality, he even used to go out of his way to drive all over town to pick up tools and parts we needed. I still dont know what it will be like without him. I'll never forget his added humor to everything we did and talked about. I only knew Chris for two years but that was long enough to know that he was a very unique and dependable guy and I wish I could have known him longer.

Uncle chris will be missed so very much. He was such a good person and an amazing uncle to krystina,Cathrine, and I. We will miss him most around the holiday visits and time where memories were made the most. We will never forget the time we shared with him. From the play days he had with me and Karlton to the times he encouraged us the most, we will hold him in our hearts forever. Aunt pat and Karlton. We love you both so very much. Uncle Chris was such an amazing person. We will miss him so much. Our visits will not be the same as they used to but everytime we are all together we can smile and look back to all the memories we have had together over the years and he will always be here with us so long as we hold him in our hearts. Like all the Band parents - wow - what work and energy was put into our kids and the goal of becoming a top band. Chris was the start of that foundation. It is so great to see how loved my brother Chris was. It is no surprise to me though. Growing up, he was so much fun and always full of life. Even though we didn't get to see each other as the years went by, my love for my brother had never changed. To me, he was still "Cree". The guy who took me camping, fishing and taught me the game of "foil ball fighting". I take comfort in the fact that we will be together again some day. I send all my love and prayers to Pat his wife and Karlton his son. I'm so sorry you have to be without your dad. Just know that you have a very special guardian angel up in heaven. And Chris, I'm sure your up in heaven with mom and dad, doing all the things that you weren't able to do these last few years. I love ya bro! See ya up there someday. Love, your little sis, Beebs

Thank you friends and family for your kind well wishes and thoughts at our time of need. When my son in law died two years ago chris wrote to jasmine, my granddaughter, and the following words are fondly remembered "My prayers for peace and understanding go out to you. Please remember that God has a plan for all of us. He knows that taking your father to heaven would be sad experience for you, but I know that he had a good reason for needing him now. We are not supposed to understand all that GOD does, just trust in his wisdom and love. Try not to ask why this tragedy happened, try to see what GOD is going to use it for." What an awesome message. I am very sorry for your loss. I believe he is the same age as my second sister, Alexia, and thus would have been in her class at OLPH at various times. My memories date to early childhood, but I do recall....I hope you retain fond memories, as I am sure there certainly would be many directly related to Christopher....

I was saddened by reading of this. My father use to work at Unitcast and i was a senior at CCHS in Toledo in 1957,,,,I remember Jim and Nancy Tillman and I am sure I babysat for Chris long ago. I am so sorry. Judy Calkins Gable
