Connie Jean (Rafferty)
On August 14, 2016, Connie Jean (Rafferty) Oates, transitioned from this life into her eternal home with Jesus Christ. Born November 3, 1958, to the parents of Gerald L. and Jo-Anna (Grant) Rafferty in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Whitney High School, retired from Medical College of Ohio and was the owner and operator of Shamrock Janitorial Unlimited LLC.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 37 years, Deacon Larry Oates; one daughter, Sara Graff (John); two grandchildren, Jordyn and David, of Northwood, OH; niece and nephew that she helped raise, Dee Thorn and Brandon Stein; four sisters, Lynn Rafferty, Lisa Rafferty, Jerri Lee Rafferty, Renee (Marvin) Goetting, all of Toledo Ohio; one brother, Gerald Louis Raffety Jr. (Sam) of MI; four sister-in-laws, Barbara Hollowell (Leon) of Toledo, OH, Minister Lorice Oates-Griffin (Charles) of Augusta, GA, Mary Baisden and Gloria Oates of Americus, GA and special niece, Tatia Hollis. She was preceded in death by both parents and nephew, Mick Geisen. She also leaves behind many, many special nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at New Covenant Baptist Church, 3864 Jackman Rd., Toledo, OH, at 10:00 am.

Uncle Larry, we are deeply saddened by the passing of a wonderful women Aunt Connie! Her light has not completely extinguished, we hold our own memories of how she lived in our hearts and minds. God has allow us all to share her life and now celebrate her life with joy and gladness, thanking God, for allowing us to be a part in her life. God bless you uncle Larry and keep you during your time of morning. For Connie fought a good fight, she kept her faith strong, to enter tht eternal sleep,for her works will follow.
