Connie Rourke Obituary

ROURKE

Connie Lee

Connie Lee Rourke, 57, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 18, 2015. She was born in Toledo, July 26, 1958, to Frances Mary Pearson and Charles Lee Bungarda. In her youth, she took great pride in playing the trumpet for the Anthony Wayne Marching Generals, later earning her associate degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Toledo. Connie was an avid reader, and took deservedly great pride in her amazing cooking and in her flower garden. She will be remembered for her intelligence, sense of humor, generosity and lovingness.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; son, Billy; nieces, Christina (Omar) Khasawneh, Sarah Bodi, and Schauna Sniegowski; as well as her dear friend and mother-in-law, Catherine Rourke. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Beth Bungarda and Cathy Sniegowski.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main St., Sylvania, Saturday, August 22 from 1-4 p.m. There will be no formal services following the visitation hours.

Connie's family sends a tremendous amount of gratitude to the Hickman Cancer Center at Flower Hospital for their exceptional hospitality and treatment during her almost two-year fight against cancer, and to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care and compassion.

Contributions may be made at the donor's discretion.
