I have known Darrel for several years. I met him on the tennis court. He and I played tennis until he had heart-bypass surgery. Since then, our personal contact has been limited to visiting and talking about our feline friends. Darrel adopted and cared for several homeless cats. May he rest in peace.

When I reflect on my time at Adrian High School, a number of teachers spring to mind as having had an important impact on my career and life. Mr. Sternberg is right there toward the top of that list. Wonderful teacher, great guy, and a shame to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

We were sorry to hear of the death of our friend and fellow teacher, Darrell. We enjoyed our phone conversations and will miss him. Our prayers are with his family and friends.
