David Flint Obituary

David Flint, age 80, went home to join his Lord and Savior on September 7, 2023. He was born in Toledo on July 27, 1943 to Leroy and Dora (Musch) Flint. He had been married to the love of his life, Barbara Jeko, since October 23, 1965. Dave gave his life to Jesus Christ in March of 1987 and was instrumental in leading his sons to Christ. He was a member of First Alliance Church in Toledo, Ohio.
Dave was a self-employed remodeling contractor for over 40 years before his retirement. He gave his time generously to those who needed his work or advice. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Dave was also an Army Veteran, inventor, singer, artist, and vinyl record collector.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Robert of Toledo, Joseph (Sarah) of Delavan, IL; grandsons, Josiah and Caleb. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Bonnie Podgorski and Nancy Toeppe.
The family will receive guests Friday, September 15, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Road (419-473-0300). A gathering will be held from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in David's memory.
