David A. Ignasiak

David A. Ignasiak, of Point Place, 74, was too young and too cool to leave us yet, and broke a lot of hearts when he did. He passed on December 1st, 2025, after a lengthy battle with complications from an injury.

He was a humorous and creative guy who valued being genuine, open-minded, self-sufficient, resourceful, and hard-working. He graduated from Woodward HS and worked in Manufacturing, ultimately retiring from Calphalon Cookware. He enjoyed riding his Harley, his bicycle, gardening, painting, and working on projects in the garage, while listening to classic rock and pondering the lyrics.

Although he loved his baggers and rat-rods, he was also appreciative of nature and our local parks, priding himself on recycling, reducing, and re-using, whenever possible.

He is survived and already deeply missed by his daughter, Jessica Ignasiak; as well as two older brothers, Eugene and Richard (Mary); along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin J. and Helen M. (Lipinski) Ignasiak, of Manhattan Blvd.

He fought hard until he couldn't anymore, and the world was a better place with him in it.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, Ohio 43611, followed by a time of sharing memories to celebrate David's life. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Toledo.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages sharing of memories, and just being a good human being.
