David Kasprzak Obituary

David Kasprzak

David Kasprzak, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 22, 1943, to Gus and Cecilia (Blochowski) Kasprzak, David was a proud graduate of Rogers High School. His talent on the golf course earned him a scholarship to the University of Toledo, where his love for the game would continue to shape his life and his community involvement for decades.

David served his country honorably in the United States Army, rising to the rank of sergeant in the military police. Following his service, he built a successful career as a corporate salesman for Twyman-Templeton Acme Safety and served as president of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Golf was a lifelong passion. A scratch golfer, David was a member of the Inverness Caddy Association and proudly caddied in the 1957 U.S. Open. He went on to become a founder and past president of the Toledo Junior Golf Association and held memberships at several area clubs, including Inverness, Belmont, and Brandywine. He was also a great friend to many, known for his generous spirit both on and off the course.

David was deeply devoted to his family. He was an active, loving dad and an amazing husband who worked tirelessly to make his family happy. Vacations were among his favorite times, when everyone was together making memories. Selfless by nature, he was always willing to help anyone and never gave up. He faced every challenge with quiet strength, unflagging effort, and a super-positive attitude.

Known for his impeccable morals, quick wit, and ready jokes, David also loved to share life lessons. Even if he didn't always hit the right notes, he loved to sing, bringing humor and warmth to those around him. He was a man who lived by example-humble, kind, and steadfast in his values.

David was active in the Stroke Life Center, supporting others through his experience and dedication. He leaves behind a legacy of humility, service, and love.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Paul, Mike, and twin brother, Dan. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lesley (Beans) Kasprzak; his children, Chad (Alisa) Kasprzak and Kristin (Mike) Martin; and his grandchildren, Barrett Martin, Lexi Kasprzak, and Jake Kasprzak.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, and on Friday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Little Flower Catholic Church, where a memorial Mass will begin at 11 a.m.
