David Post Obituary
David William Post, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. David was a proud graduate of Rogers High School, class of 1964. He completed Tool and Die Designer Apprenticeships in Toledo, OH and Chicago, IL. Following his apprencticeships, David worked at Acklin Stamping. He later became the President and General Manager of ACE Products Company, a family business that was started by his grandfather in 1938, that manufactured patented Fall Wiper/Scraper Rings for Military and Industrial purposes. ACE Products Company closed in 2020, after 82 years of production.
David was an avid golfer and a former member at Giant Oak Golf Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family at his home "poolside."
David was born October 20, 1946 to Ruth (Fall) and Duane W. Post of Toledo, Ohio. He is survived by his daughter, Mindy (Ed) Odom; grandsons, Steven and Brandon Odom; brother Robert (Lee) Post, and many nieces and nephews. David is preceeded in death by his wife, Sue Ann; parents; two sisters, Suzanne Kennedy and Ruth Post-Nowak; and brother Duane P. Post.
Services will be private. The family suggests a contribution in David's name to the National Honor Flight Network, Box L-4016, Columbus, OH 43260-4016 and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
