Dawn Heffner Obituary
Dawn Nikee' Heffner, aka Nikki, 51, of Toledo, OH, passed on Easter Sunday at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was a McAuley High School, University of Toledo and Arbor Springs University graduate. Nikki was also a licensed cosmetologist. She was preceded in death by father, James Paul Heffner; and leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Faytha Heffner; and sister, Tonya Heffner. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, 445 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH 43604. Funeral Service will be streamed via the C. Brown Funeral Home Facebook page.

I remember Dawn as a classmate at what was then, St. Ann's (Detroit & Bancroft). There's something amazing about the fun and innocence of being a kid and holding on to those memories. I offer prayers of comfort and peace to the family. May God bless and keep you.

My deepest condolences Faye and Tonya. I am so sorry for your loss. It's been years since we've seen each other, but I remember the fun times we had at the house on Elmwood.

Sweet Nikki. Words cannot even begin to describe the disbelief about your passing. You are absolutely one of the strongest people I know. Cousin Nikki, you stayed strong for so long and I know you were tired... I still can’t believe it’s real. My heart is broken. The last week I’ve read and re-read all of our text messages from over the years and I am grateful that we found humor in EVERYTHING we talked about and I will cherish every laugh forever. We never failed to say I love you and to give praise and honor to God and I will find comfort in that. RIP to you, my “Nik”. Thank you for being my other big sis—my friend—and I wish I would have hugged you longer if I would have known that my birthday would be the last time I’d see you.
