Edward
Edward Zokowich, age 87, of Perrysburg, Ohio and formerly of East Toledo passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Kingston of Perrysburg
surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 6, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio to Fred and Mary (Bialecki) Zokowich. Edward was married to his wife, Kay Francis (King) for 53 years and together they raised 3 children. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Ed worked at Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Co. as a glass worker for many years and after retirement worked as a Toledo Public Schools Crossing Guard on the East Side. He was an avid Ohio State fan, and also enjoyed NASCAR, and the Red Wings. Ed never complained and always had a joke to tell.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Kay; children, Kathleen Knopp, Kenneth (Cindy) Zokowich, and Eric (MaryJo) Zokowich; grandchildren, Gary (Betsy) Buschmann, and Brian Buschmann. Also surviving is his sister, Olga Chmielewski, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd., Rossford, OH on Friday, April 15, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., in the
funeral home with Pastor Tom Caldwell officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that contributions in Ed's memory be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. To leave online expressions of sympathy for the family, please visit
