Eileen TIBBITS Obituary

MC HENRY - TIBBITS Eileen M. (Barris) May 2,1927~May 3,2010 Born and raised in Toledo Ohio. She was a life long resident until moving to California permanently four years ago. Eileen was a Licensed Practical Nurse who worked at the Toledo State Hospital, Lucas County Home, and the Medical College of Ohio. She selflessly cared for psychiatric and geriatric patients with a tender loving touch and the voice of an angel that lifted their hearts with song. Eileen was an accomplished musician on several instruments and a talented singer. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Vera-Howard Barris; husband, Elmer W. McHenry; daughter, Pauline Duncan; grandson, Robert Weidger; step daughters, Katie Hall, Evelyn McHenry and step mother, Elenor Barris. Eileen is survived by daughter, Shirley Gaff-Segler (Bruce), Fullerton, CA;grand- son, Perry Miller (Tammy), Fullerton, CA; granddaughter, Paula K. Liga (Brian), Rainier, OR; grandson, Michael Weidger (Billie) Zanesville, OH; grandaughter, Linda Grossenbaugh, Toledo, OH; brother, Doug Barris (Mary) Toledo, OH; sister, Shannon Meadows (Mike) Toledo, OH; stepsister, Eldona Shelton (Jim); step brother, Kenneth Roshong (Eileen); step daughters, Dot Butler, Mary Blake of Weston, WV, Ruth Talbott Camden, WV, Carole Bush, Maryland; stepson, Leo McHenry, NewPort News, VA and William McHenry, Richmond VA and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010, 2:00 PM at: 3351 Blanchard St., Toledo, Ohio 43608. Interment will be at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery in a private burial.
