Eleanor Salisbury Obituary
April 20, 1931 - September 1, 2025
Eleanor J. Salisbury, 94, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025. Eleanor was born on April 20, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, and was the daughter of Adrian and Ethel (Cousino) Iott. She was a 1949 graduate from Toledo Central Catholic High School. Eleanor married James E. Salisbury on August 3, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2022. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at the former Salter Oil, The Andersons, and sales clerk at K-Mart. Eleanor was a charter member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Bedford Senior Center, and Bedford Athlete Boosters. She wintered in Florida for over 30 years. Eleanor was an excellent cook and will be known for the love of her family.
Eleanor is survived by her loving children, James (Elyse) Salisbury, Mary Zahabi, Julie (Michael) Tucker, William (Vicki) Salisbury, Susan (Tim) Braithwaite, Sandra (Edwin) Brighton, Richard (Mary Jo) Salisbury, and Lisa (Scott) Warnke; 31 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna DeGue, Kathleen Hannigan, Regina Meszaros, Margaret Mary Dusseau, and Ruth Ellen Ginther.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where a memorial mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
