Emma Hubscher Obituary
Emma C.
Emma C. Hubscher of Milan, MI, age 71, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, quietly in her home after nearly a year of battling cancer. Emma was born October 24, 1941, in Turner, Maine to Thelma and Harry Lowell.
She is survived by two children, James Treece of Toledo, Ohio and Robin (Les) Sokolik of Saline, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Shauna (Rykk), Sabrina, Sky, Charles, Allison (John), John, Elizabeth, Joseph; one great-granddaughter, Bailee; two brothers, David Lowell (Anne) of Auburn, Maine, Hibbert Lowell (Bonnie) of Ypsilanti, Michigan; one sister, Phyllis Glendenning (Fred) of Farmingdale, and one sister-in-law, Rose Lowell.
Emma was an avid quilt maker and seamstress, creating and giving away many quilts to family and friends. Along with her husband, Emma owned and operated York Auto Electric on Dexter Street in Milan for 20 years.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice of Ann Arbor for their kindness and support during this difficult time. There will be no service, however in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Ann Arbor. Arrangements were entrusted to Ochalek-Stark Funeral Service.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost contact with Emma and Chuck several years ago, but would think of them from time to time. I used to supply them with auto parts when they owned York and visited them at the shop. In speaking to another long lost friend today, I learned that they have both passed away. Chuck and Emma were always so fun loving and loved to joke, laugh and poke fun at each other and themselves of course each other. I'm sorry for signing this so late, but I wanted to express just how far their kindness reached. May they both rest in peace.

In behalf of the entire Spence family, we would like to express our deepest sympathy with the loss of your Mom. She was a talented woman with her sewing, doll collection and enjoyed life.
