To Mother Cross, Linda, Sophia, William and Christopher, and the entire family. As I sit here two days after the Homegoing Celebration for Pastor Elder Cross, with tears in my eyes from the many memories I have growing up under his care. I loved Elder Cross and I know he Loved us. There is no doubt in my mind (heart) that Elder Cross lived a Godly example to those around him. He shared everything he had with many and he cared for us like his own. He preached, taught, disciplined, rebuked, laughed, mentored and the list goes on. He was a TRUE Father in the Gospel. I love him and his memory will never leave me. I'll see him in Glory on that great day and through eternity. We, The Jones Family send our deepest and sincerest prayers and thoughts to you for peace and comfort in this time of bereavement and may God fill your hearts with precious memories of your dearly beloved Elder Cross.

To Grandma "Lucille" Wood, Aunt Louise & Uncle Bubba cousin's Linda, Sophie, Ernest & William.
You know how people often times say that my grandmother prayed for me? Well so did my Uncle and Auntie.
In my younger years I only half listened to the preached message. When I should have been listening all the time. Oh how I long to hear Uncle Ernest preach just one more time.... Time waits for no one! NEVER stop praying nor give up hope, ALWAYS say a PRAYER every time you leave your home or loved ones presence. Remember GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES bless our family together as one with much love TJ Wood, Gregory, Breezy and Wendy Brewer

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We know where Elder Cross is. Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia.

Sis. Cross, Linda, Grand Children, Great Grands, Ann and Bubba, The Family from Pittsburgh and all extended family, you're in my thoughts and I pray for you in your time of sadness and in celebrating the life of such a kind, loving and caring man.

I think back to 1959. 51 years ago. On Hamilton. Those are the first memories I have of him and the man he was then was the man I always knew. To have known him was to have loved him. Everybody loved Elder Cross.

I remember as a little girl he would pick us up on Sunday mornings for Sunday school.

He treated all of us like a father. Me, Bobby, Claudia, Paula, Celeste, Evie, Denny, Jill, Lelanie, Mark, Oneida, David, Tony, Bessie, James, Moses, Joe, Ola Mae, Mary Ann and the list goes on and on.

Thank you for sharing Elder Cross with us for so many years.

Death is not the end. It's not a period but a comma in THIS life.

God bless you now and always,
Marshia Dodds Hamilton.

Elder Cross, You are and will always be greatly missed. It will always be cherished the times we had over the laundromat. The "preached word" and the lessons you taught has touched many lives. Your labor for the Lord has not been in vain. Now you are in the presence of God. You have finished this race you have received a new body and a crown. You have crossed the finish line and you did keep the faith. We love you Elder Ernest Cross.
