Evelyn "Evie" Heineman

Evelyn "Evie" M. Heineman, age 92, of Woodville, passed away at home with her husband, Paul, near her side, on August 27, 2025. Evie was born Evelyn M. Dierker, to Lawrence and Esther (Harmeyer) Dierker, on December 9, 1932, in Troy Township, OH. She married Paul A. Heineman on April 30, 1977, at Solomon Lutheran Church, in Woodville, OH. Evie and Paul have celebrated over 48 wonderful years together.

Evie worked in various positions over the years, most notably as a lab technician for Dr. Earle about 20 years, later as a teller for Toledo Trust and then for First Federal in Woodville, and as an office administrator for Matlack Trucking. Evie became a business owner and ran "Evie's Upholstery" for nearly 20 years, all the while she was a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. A woman of faith, she was a past member of Solomon Lutheran Church, in Woodville. As a mortician's wife she could often be found assisting her husband, Paul, with his duties. Evie was a lifelong athlete who enjoyed basketball, softball and bowling. She and Paul had a genuine partnership, with a life full of adventures like flying, traveling and golfing. Evie's greatest joy was being a devoted wife to Paul and supporting the athletic events of their many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Paul, Evie is survived by her sister, Janice Merryfield, of FL; sisters-in-law, Milly Dierker and Ruth Dierker, both of Pemberville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Evie was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Shirley Losey, Bob Dierker, Lloyd Dierker, Eloise Dierker, and Wally Dierker.

Family and friends will be received 3-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Woodville, OH. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19225 Witty Road, in Elmore. There will be additional visitation beginning at 10 a.m., until service time. Officiating will be Pastor Jaci Tiell. Evie will be laid to rest Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Ohio Living Hospice or Grace Lutheran Church.
