Florence Purcell Obituary

PURCELL Florence "Pat" Florence "Pat" J. Purcell, age 81, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on August 08, 2008, at Northwest Hospice, Toledo surrounded by those she loved. She was born June 8, 1927, to Forest and Ena Morris in Toledo. Pat was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend to many. She was a gentle and caring person who always saw the best in others. A 1945 graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo and a Beta Sigma Phi sorority member for over 63 years. In her younger years she skated with the traveling Holiday on Ice show. In addition to her parents, her husband, William J. Purcell, and daughter, Linda Silverblatt, preceded her in death. Pat is survived by her children, William Purcell Jr. of Toledo; Bonnie Purcell of Toledo; Gregory (Wendy) Purcell of Temperance, MI: and Ricky (Tanya) Purcell of Toledo; grandchildren, William Purcell Jr. III; Melissa (Jeff) Wurch; Lindsey Silverblatt; Nicole Silverblatt; Alison Purcell; Megan Purcell; Kelsey Purcell and Kristen Purcell; great-grandchildren, Brayden; Landon and Emerson; sister, Sue (Alfred) Noller and many nephews and nieces. Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family will receive guests on Thursday August 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday, August 15, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at: www.NewcomerFamily.com
