Fred LOZANO Obituary

LOZANO Fred J. Sr. Fred J. Lozano, Sr. age 81, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 17, 1929 to Jose and Senobia Lozano in San Antonio, Texas. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1991 after 23 years of service. Fred was a devout Christian since 1974 and served as a leader of Unity United Methodist Church, formerly known as Oakdale Church, where he was also a longtime member. He was a member of the VFW and UAW Local 1435. Fred enjoyed fishing and golfing but loved nothing more than spending time with his loving family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Pauline Lozano; 4 children, Cynthia Lozano and her children, Veronica, Crystal, and Brandon; Linda (Eric) Lozano-Stockmaster and their children, Jeremy, Farrah, Nicole and Samantha; Fred (Jami) Lozano Jr. and their daughter, Toni, and David Lozano and his son, Jacob; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elizabeth (Fabian) Espitia and Rose Ewing. The family will receive guests on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Unity United Methodist Church, 1910 E. Broadway St., Toledo with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery.
