Gaetano Mazza Obituary
Gaetano
Gaetano Mazza, age 61 years, of Toledo died in his home on January 26, 2014. Born in Sicily, his parents along with him and his five siblings emigrated to Canada where the family settled. Gaetano later moved to Toledo, where he met and married the former Kathleen Latowski, who survives. An entrepreneur, he owned and operated several neighborhood pizza stores beginning with Starr Pizzeria, located on Starr Ave., remaining active in the business until recently. In his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening and following the Detroit Red Wing Hockey Team. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Mazza.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; son, Peter (Jeny) Mazza; daughters, Michelle (Grady) Guthrie and Josie Mazza; extended family including Merrill Mullins; mother, Guiseppa Mazza; brothers, Charles (Josephine), Tony (Rena), Mike (Renee), Dino (Josie) and Johnny, all of Windsor, ON; grandchildren, Grady and Dylan Guthrie, Devin and Bella Mazza.
Friends may call Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (between Central and Bancroft) with Scripture Services at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, January 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Little Flower Church where family and friends may gather beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment North Oregon Cemetery.
Memorial tributes may be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

It´s Sam Rodriguez, I helped run Shetler´s Pizza King for Guy and you after Dino left to Italy. I also worked at Starr´s Pizza next to the Arlington Resturant. I´m sorry to read about Guy. I appreciated Guy and Dino when I lived in Toledo. I´m sorry for your lost to you and the family. May he RIP and May God bless you and the family.
