Gerald Palmer Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Keith Palmer of Temperance, Michigan, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, August 16, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with skin cancer. He was 74.
Jerry was born on May 26, 1947, in New York City. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School and graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Architectural Design. An enthusiastic musician for over 50 years, Jerry loved playing the harmonica with the local band members whenever he had the chance. He also enjoyed spending time in the "man cave" with his sons and nephew, Scott. One of the things he looked forward to every month was dinner with his fraternity brothers.
Jerry is survived by his children, Matthew Palmer and Andrew Palmer; his sister, Kathy (Kenneth) Urbaytis; nephews, Scott Porter, Todd Porter, Chris (Lacy) Ross; and niece, Kristal (Tim) Scott. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Clifford and Jean Palmer; and sister, Donna Harbert.
Family members will be scattering Jerry's ashes in a private ceremony. To honor Jerry's memory, friends and family members are invited to join the Palmer family on Sunday, August 29th, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a Celebration of Life Service. Join us at Maumee River Yacht Club, 2735 Broadway Street, Toledo, OH 43609. Please send memorial donations to Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio, 3100 W. Central Ave., Suite 250, Toledo, OH 43606.

Scott & Andrew,
You're the only 2 I really know... I am so very sorry for your loss. Jerry along with you 2, attended and DJ'd our parties at Inverness Community, and were such a HUGE help throughout my management at Inverness. Jerry rode with me co-pilot on my trip to FL, and he still rides co-pilot with me hanging from my mirror. He was truly a great man and will truly be missed by all who knew him. May your days ahead be filled with peace and love. Much love to you all.
