Gloria Lange

LANGE Gloria Prudden Gloria Lange (née Gloria Noel Prudden) of Palm Beach, Florida was born December 24, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio and passed away May 29, 2009. She was the daughter of Paul Peter and Alice Marie (Rorick) Prudden. She graduated from Westover School in Middlebury, Connecticut, attended Vassar College, and later completed a course of study at the New York School for Interior Design. Gloria grew up in Perrysburg, Ohio and Palm Beach, Florida, and raised her children in Greenwich, Connecticut. Gloria was pre-deceased by her husband of 27 years, J. Carvel (Jack) Lange. In recent years she had returned to live in Palm Beach. Gloria was a talented watercolor artist, sculptor, gourmet cook and gardener. She was an avid bridge player and book lover, and always finished the Sunday New York Times crossword. One of her favorite places on earth was Wyoming and she and her family regularly gathered at Eaton's Ranch where she still galloped her horse. Most of all, Gloria gave a lifetime of generosity to friends, family and deserving causes. Gloria is survived by her daughter and her husband, Caryn (Cluett) Gregg and Rob of Berkeley, California, daughter, Christina Gorham Cluett of Santa Barbara, California and son, David Grenfell Cluett Jr. of Greenwich, Connecticut. Gloria was appropriately named "GoGo" by her grandchildren, Stephanie (Bruno) Geoffrion of Redondo Beach, California, Robyn (Mauro Rubina) Gregg of Berkeley, California, James Gregg of San Francisco, California and Skylar Cluett of Greenwich, Connecticut. GoGo also has a new great-grandson, Noa Geoffrion. She was devoted to all of her many nieces and nephews. The family is planning a memorial service at Christ Church In Greenwich, Connecticut later in the summer.
