Grace D. "Gracie" Klinger

Grace D. "Gracie" Klinger, 75 years, of Toledo, died October 24, 2005, following a brief illness in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 12, 1930, to George and Otie Gibson in East Toledo. On September 29, 1950, she married the love of her life, John "Jack" Klinger, who survives her.
Gracie was a 50 year member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Toledo until the parish closed, at which time she became a member of St. Adalbert's. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Societies. Gracie graduated from Whittier Union High School in Whittier, CA, but always thought of Waite High School and the "49er Girls" as her alma mater. She loved to travel, play cards, and western round and square dance. Gracie was an active member of the St. Vincent De Paul's 55+ Club, and the Friendship Park and Navarre Park Senior Centers.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, Jack, Gracie is survived by her brother, George (Margo) Gibson of California, and her children, Raymond (Paulette) Klinger of Sylvania, Kathy (Kenneth) Kozman of Woodville, and John (Amy) Klinger of Genoa and son-in law, Tony Dixon of Bossier City, LA. A devoted grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews also survive. Her daughter, Sally Dixon; sisters, Kate and Elsie; brothers, Richard and Warren, preceded her in death.
Family and friends may visit Thursday, October 27, from 2-8 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home, 114-128 E. Alexis Rd., Toledo, where a Rosary will be led at 4:30 p.m. by members of Altar and Rosary Society. Funeral services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue on to St. Adalbert Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
