Grace Warrington Obituary

WARRINGTON

Grace Heloise

Grace Heloise Warrington passed away September 23, 2012, at Elizabeth Scott Care Center. She was born November 29, 1910, in West Millgrove, Ohio, near Fostoria, the oldest of eight children of John and Mary (Rahrig) Warrington and lived most of her life in the Trilby area. Heloise was a member of the first graduating class of Whitmer High School. She went on to work at Ohio Bell Telephone Company, attaining the job of supervisor. Her employment with the company spanned four decades. Heloise spent her free time traveling in the United States and Europe and she loved gardening, especially tending her roses. She also enjoyed bowling and did beautiful needle point and knitting. Heloise was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

In November of 2010, Heloise celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her loving friends and family. She was a most loving and dedicated aunt to 27 nieces and nephews and was always available as a confidant and mentor. She remembered birthdays and special occasions. She took some on trips, cut cakes and made special refreshments for weddings or birthdays for others. She was a positive presence in all

of their lives. Heloise was a woman who attained standing in management at a time when that was a great

accomplishment for a woman. She was a remarkable example to many. Her encouragement and spirit will be missed by all who survive her, especially niece, Patti Rendsland Durivage, her husband, Jim, and their children, Jamie and Greg. She is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Rendsland of Florida, and Barbara Lakics of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Nathan Christian, John Lincoln, and Edward Clyde, and sisters, Mary

Adeline Wirwahn and Jean Lucille Schulz.

Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) on Thursday,

September 27, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Good Shepherd

Lutheran Church, 3934 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo, OH 43623, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Online condolences may be shared at
