Gregory Deck Obituary
Gregory Scott Deck passed away at home in Toledo, Ohio, surrounded by his family on January 5, 2021, one day shy of his 62nd birthday after a short battle with cancer. He was born on January 6, 1959 to Marion C (Hadorn) and Arthur C. Deck of Maumee, Ohio.
Greg graduated from Maumee and Penta County Vocational High Schools and worked most of his life as an auto mechanic for several Ford dealerships, later moving to North Carolina to be closer to his love of racing. He worked for several race teams in Ohio and NC traveling to many of the most famous tracks around the country. He has requested to be cremated and that his ashes be spread at some of those tracks.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother; father; and sister, Judi Stair.
He leaves behind his sister, Carol Macinteer (Ed); brother, David (Laura); daughter, Jennifer; son, Andrew; 5 nieces; and 6 grandchildren that he loved dearly, Ava, Asher, Jayda-Lynn, Jamison, Jerzii and Jordynn.
There was a small memorial honoring him for his family and close friends.
Anyone else wishing to honor his memory may do so with a donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
