Gregory Bruce Hasenfratz

Gregory Bruce Hasenfratz passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2023, in Westerville, Ohio. Greg was born on November 30, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leonard and Mary Hasenfratz. He graduated from Start High School in 1976. He attended Snow Junior College where he played football before transferring to the University of Toledo where he walked onto the football team and received a football scholarship.

Greg was a hard worker, dedicating his time to helping those in the community. He found joy volunteering with his wife for A Second Chance Rescue, where he helped many animals find loving homes for the past ten years. His work with the rescue led him to adopting his beloved dog, Elvis.

He enjoyed skiing, golfing and Ohio State Buckeye football. Late in life he discovered a love for Vegas, where he frequently took trips with his friends. Greg also found amusement in a good dad joke and teaching his kids and grandkids "fun facts." He also loved to read, and passed his love of reading to his kids and grandchildren by spending time reading to them.

He was predeceased by his father, Leonard. He is survived by his mother, Mary; his beloved wife, Theresa (Teri); his children, Jessica (Andrew) Hall, Colton, Dillon, Ethan, Lucca; and his two grandchildren, Beckett and Addison Hall. He is also survived by his brothers, Jeff (Jean), Allen (Janice), Patrick; and sisterm Tracie (Dodd) Yoder; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 8, from 4:00 â€" 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio. A formal funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, Ohio. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
