I knew Gwen Ms. Fisher since I was about 10 years old. She was my lunch room supervisor. I always loved talking to her. I would try to call her a couple times a month just to check on her. We could talk about everything. Our friendship meant so much to me. We laughed at times, cried together but all in all I will never forget her. I had spoken with her just a few weeks before she passed. When talking to her she said that she wasn´t feeling good. As I called again I knew that something was wrong because I couldn´t reach her on either phone. It was months later that I found out that she had passed. I´m very sorry that I didn´t get to pay my respects to her family. I remember going over to her house in west Toledo and she said that when it got a little warmer out, I needed to come back and we could have something out on the grill.
I´m truly am grateful that I got to know her.
I hope that the family will be able to get through this difficult time of the year missing their mother, grandmother ect. Holidays are quite difficult, but just know that she is with you all in spirit and that she is with Jesus Christ our savior. Peace and strength be upon you.

I had done many jobs for Miss Gwen in the last 5 years. She was one of the nicest and caring people I have met in a long time, she will be missed. My deepest condolences to the family. Thank you for sharing her with me.

I´m so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I´ve known Gwen since I was in 5th grade, at Hamilton school. Every other month I would reach out to her and we would just talk. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Someone who loved to listen and she had her opinion. I will definitely miss her. I know she´s now reunited with her family and no more shortness of breath. I will miss you my friend, always in my heart.

My heart is broken...Gwen has been a part of my life since 1967...we have shared many life events together...in these last years we supported each other and talked on the phone probably too much about everything, but especially our "soap operas"...I will keep talking to her in spirit because I just need to feel her essence in my life...Gwen loved her family more than anything...Goodbye my friend

I worked with Gwen at Toledo Public Schools many years ago. She was a great lady and a hard worker. She always had a smile and a kind word.
I'll pray for her family and friends.

Forever

Paul Laurence Dunbar

I had not known before
Forever was so long a word.
The slow stroke of the clock of time
I had not heard.

`Tis hard to learn so late;
It seems no sad heart really learns,
But hopes and trusts and doubts and fears,
And bleeds and burns.

The night is not all dark,
Nor is the day all it seems,
But each may bring me this relief-
My dreams and dreams.

I had not known before
That Never was so sad a word,
So wrap me in forgetfulness-
I have not heard.

Cousins forever!
