Helen Kott Obituary
June 20, 1929 - August 13, 2025
Helen Rose Kott, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 96.
A graduate of Libbey High School, she married her beloved husband, Roman Kott, on September 4, 1948, at St. Charles Borromeo Church. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2008. After raising her children, she worked for several years in food service at various Toledo Public Schools before retiring.
She was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo, enjoyed reading, working on word search puzzles, and playing bingo. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Skip Kott, Connie Yaney, Theresa (Steve) Jones, Julie (Marty) Fritts, Carolyn (Keith) Keil, Cathy (Mark) Keil; daughter-in-law, Lew Kott; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Friddell, Angela (Joe) Box, Jeff Kott, Brian (Kari) Yaney, Mark (Cala) Yaney, Adam (Lisa) Yaney, Steve (Kim) Jones, Chris (Christie) Jones, Laura Jones, Addie Kott (Justin), Miranda (Josh) Mulkey, Nathan (Kayla) Keil, Carly (Aaron) Richards, Jillian (Nick) Reidy, Caitlyn (Matt) Melzak, Olivia (Anthony) Vasaturo, Allison, Jacob, and Christopher Keating. She is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ethel (Crandall) Revill; her husband of 60 years, Roman; son, John; sister, Ethel Davis; brother, Frank Revill; daughter-in-law, Marlene Kott; grandson, William Jones; and great-granddaughter, Natalya Martinez.
Special thanks to the nurses and aide from Careline Hospice, and also, Melody, for their care and dedication.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43614, on Tuesday, August 19, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 20, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1842 Airport Hwy, Toledo, OH 43609, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
