Helen Reichow Obituary
February 8, 1928 - July 23, 2025
Helen R. Reichow, 97, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away, Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Helen was born on February 8, 1928, and was the daughter of Edward and Matilda (Jeske) Rodewald. A 1946 graduate from Waite High School, she married Glenn W. Reichow on October 8, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2005. She was employed by the Chrysler (Jeep) Corporation for over 10 years. Prior, she worked in the Resource Center at Bedford Publics Schools, and previously was an executive secretary for Champion Spark Plug. Helen was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Temperance, Michigan. She loved gardening, reading, knitting, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Glenn E. Reichow, Eric (Lisa) Reichow, and Julie (Jeremy) Pecora; daughter-in-law, Diane Reichow; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 on the way. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Reichow; sister, Ella Ohm; and brother, Walter Rodewald.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith (at Jackman), Temperance, Michigan. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 9144 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, Michigan, where she will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church or American Heart Association.

I had been thinking about Mrs. Reichow just the other day . . . maybe on the day she passed away. My family and the Reichow's were neighbors on Pamela Dr. Helen was a very kind and loving lady. It was comforting to know my dad had such a wonderful neighbor as Helen, especially when he got older and lived alone and I lived 45 minutes from his house. I remember Helen's great sense of humor and how she would take the time to truly listen and care. Helen's compassion and strong love for family and friends endeared her to so many people. She was a hard worker, a devoted wife and mother, and a true Christian. May her family. and friends be comforted by happy and loving memories of Helen.
