Helen L.
Helen L. White, 98, passed away May 7, 2014, in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. She was born October 17, 1915, to Ruben and Alice Swaninger in Belmore, Ohio. She was a member of Upton United Methodist Church and Collingwood United Methodist Church, where she was an active member of the prayer chain.
Helen will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sandra (Richard) Marleau; son, Ty (Sheran) White; grandchildren, Heidi (Dan) Marleau, Eric Wolfe, Shannon Wolfe, Jeffrey White, Christopher (fiancée, Eisa) White, Ashley White; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Quintin, Vincent, Charlie, Elyse, Kayley and Peyton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. White; daughter, Tonya "Smokie" Wolfe; brothers, Harold, Donald and Serge Swaninger.
Friends are invited to visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania Avenue where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Online condolences may be left at
