Herbie was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face and enlightened the hearts of many including my family. He was a part of our family and lives ever since I can remember. He will truly be missed and his friendship will always be cherished. Thank you for your devotion and love Herbie.

I am so saddened by this news, but I am glad my parents and Randy's sons were with Herby when he died. I have known Herby and Rusty since I was little, and I will never forget their compassionate hearts and giving nature. I will always see them sitting in my parents' living room chatting with company as my mom tries to force-feed them whatever she has on hand. I also remember Herby telling me when I was a child that I should learn to play the banjo. I had no idea why he chose the banjo, but it stuck with me all these years. I love him (and Rusty) very much, and I will miss him.
