Hollis Yates, age 77 of Grimsley, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the U.T. Medical Center in Jamestown. Hollis' wishes were to have no viewing. In honor of him, take a moment of silence, and raise a glass for a toast in memory of him. He believed that you shouldn't mourn passing, but have a celebration.
Hollis is survived by his Wife, Deb Yates; Daughter, Lisa Yates; Grandson, Brock Yates; Brothers, Hershel and wife Marsha, David and wife Sherry, Haskel, Howard, Herbert and wife Patty; Sister, Annabell Pedigo and husband Jack; Sisters-in-law, Deanna Hines Crawford and Jeri Yates; A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his Parents, James "Edie" and Minnie "Dude" (Goney) Yates; Brothers, Harold, Michael, and Melvin; Sister, Lois Nell Copeland and husband Hubert; Brother-in-law, Steve Hines and wife Ginny. Jennings Funeral Homes of Jamestown is in charge of cremation for Hollis Yates of Grimsley.
