J. Quinn Obituary

J. Patrick Quinn

John Patrick Quinn, 68, passed away November 26, 2018 in his South Toledo home of complications from heart disease. The third of four children, he was born Oct. 23, 1950 to Clifford and Beatrice (Thibert) Quinn in Toledo. He was an employee of the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities 30 years retiring in 2000 as a bricklayer. From 1995 until just before his death, he was a contract carrier for The Blade, a job he dearly enjoyed.

His true joy was spending time with his son, Jacob, whenever he was home on leave. Jacob is a Navy Petty Officer First Class, trained as a cryptographer and stationed in Japan. Ironically, Jacob's late grandfather, Clifford Quinn, held the same job during WWII.

Surviving are his son, Jacob (Geraldine); brothers, Thomas (Janet Roemaker) and Michael (Patty) Quinn; sister, Colleen (John) Strayer, and grandsons, Diego and Shion. Honoring his wishes, there will be no services. Coyle funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
