Jacqueline King Obituary

Jacqueline King

September 27, 1946 - February 26, 2025

It's with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandmother ("Booshi"), wife, and friend, Jacqueline "Jackie" Sue King, 78, of Waterville, Ohio. Jackie passed away on February 26, 2025.

Born on September 27, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Mary (Mason) Zebrowski, Jackie lived a full and loving life. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald King, on August 31, 1968, and they built a wonderful life together. Married nearly 57 years, they were the love of each other's life. Through the highs and lows life throws, they had a love that preserved.

To her family and friends, Jackie was everything, with her infectious smile and laugh, she could warm up any room and make you feel like you were her best friend. She was always the life of the party, whether she was cooking up a storm, telling a story, reading her favorite cookbooks, or enjoying family vacations.

Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren. Whether it was cheering on their sporting events, enjoying their programs, or just spending time with them, she was their biggest fan. We're sure she'll still be there in spirit at every game and program showing her unwavering support, and yes, still tallying her grandsons' hockey goals in Heaven.

Her generosity knew no boundaries, if there was a cause, a person, or even a plant (although she did not have a green thumb) in need of support, she was there and would help with a smile on her face. With so many amazing qualities, it's hard to pick just one, but her generosity and kindness were definitely her most wonderful attributes.

Along with her devoted husband, Ron, Jackie is survived by her children, Nicole Overhulse of Waterville, Ohio; and Ronnie Jr. (Amanda) of Perrysburg, Ohio; her wonderful brother, James Zebrowski; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Abbi, Wyatt, Naomi, and Maizie; and her great-grandchild, Leia, who she affectionately called "baby cakes."

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Michael Zebrowski.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 30th, where we'll all gather, enjoy good food, laugh, share stories, and maybe even tell a few "Jackie-isms" that are too good not to share.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Thomas M. Wernert Center or a charity of donor's choice.

It breaks my heart to know that I will not be sharing anymore stories or laughs with Mrs. King in her driveway. Mrs. King was so kind and I am so glad that I had the honor of getting to know her over the last 7 years. My prayers are with the family at this time and to Nicole I have a hug for you when I see you.
