James T. Follas, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 25, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1941, in Toledo, OH, to James and Marion (Mynderse) Follas. Jim was a graduate of Whitmer High School, Class of 1959. He served in the Army National Guard and was employed by the Toledo Fire Division for 25 years. Jim was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Westerville, OH, the Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, the Veterans Association, and Moose International. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, visiting Hilton Head, summers at Round Lake, watching all sports, and enjoyed car shows. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be forever missed.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sheryl Follas (Sherry); son, Andy Follas; stepdaughter, Kim Constantino; and stepsons, Scott Kozak (Alix), Jeff Kozak (Christie), Michael Kozak, Michael Constantino (Amber), Jeffrey Constantino (Nicole), and Eric Raczkowski. He leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his brother, Ed Follas (Molly); and his sister, Joyce Hays (Mike). He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judith Follas (Judy); and son, Jamie Follas.

A mass will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 2214 Manhattan Street, Erie, MI 48133, starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private for family only. The family extends special gratitude to Luminary Hospice and Bree Melni for their care and support.
