James "Jim" W. Frey

James "Jim" W. Frey, 93, a resident of Oakleaf Village in Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 12, 2021, with his family by his side.

Jim was born on July 26, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Wilbur J. and Jeanette (Detrick) Frey.

Jim attended Scott High School and married his first love, Dorothy B. Kulczak, who preceded him in death in 2004.

He is survived by Nancy (Larry) Benington, Michael (Mary) Frey, John (Rose) Frey and Betty Frey. Left to cherish his memory are nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Also preceding his death was his son, Thomas R. Frey; his sister, Mildred Michalak and brother, William Frey.

Jim worked for Doehler-Jarvis, retiring after 44 years. His pastimes included golfing, woodworking, and projects around the house. He was a kind and gentle man to all.

The family would like to thank the care team at Oakleaf Village and the hospice team with Elara Caring for their kindness and compassion.
