James Majewski Obituary
James Martin
James Martin Majewski, age 78, of Toledo Passed away Wednesday January 2, 2013, at the University Of Toledo Medical Center. James was born on March 30, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio to Adam and Anna (Kotowicz) Majewski. Jim was a veteran of the United Sates Marine Corp during the Korean War. He worked for Columbia Gas over 40 years as a welder and then a supervisor, retiring in the late 1990's. Jim was a member of the Eagles, VFW and the American Legion post. He was a avid golfer and bowler, fantastic outdoorsman and raised AKC registered beagles. Jim was a scoutmaster watching 2 of his sons become Eagle Scouts, and was a body builder and weightlifter "Mr. Toledo 1962".
He is survived by his wife, Joan Ann (Yeager); sons, Richard J., Vincent J. (Bethany), Christopher and Michael (Rochelle) Majewski; daughter, Kelly (Michael) Edgar; brothers, Adam Jr. and Anthony " Tony" (Sally) Majewski; sisters, Betty (Dale) Spoerl, Rosemary Amborski, Martha Majewski and Phyllis (Les) Taylor; also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and 10 grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home 5055 Secor Rd. (North of Laskey) on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Scripture services will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Prayer services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt.
