James Matzinger Obituary

James Matzinger, 75, of Neapolis, Ohio, passed away March 24, 2025. He was born May 23, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Norman and Mygleetes (Caulkin) Matzinger.
James served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to the V.F.W. and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waterville, Ohio.
He is survived by his brother, Tom Matzinger of Montpelier, Ohio; friend and caretaker, Kathy Zachrich of Archbold, Ohio; numerous cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier, Ohio, where full military honors will be rendered by the United States Army. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Whitehouse, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the V.F.W. in Wauseon or Zion Lutheran Church in Waterville.
