James Merritt Obituary
James Douglas Merritt, age 80, of Sylvania, died August 18, 2021, at ProMedica Rehabilitation Center in Sylvania. He was born in Toledo on August 25, 1940, to Lawrence and Margaret Merritt. Jim was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, as well as the Toledo Mud Hens and Walleye.
Surviving is his partner of 24 years, Sue Frost; son, Todd (Shannon) Merritt; daughters, Julie and Faith Merritt; grandson, Christian Workman; and sister, Mary Rasey. Also surviving are stepchildren, Heidi and Mia Frost and step-grandchildren, Kaelyn (Zach) Stultz, Blake Frost, Miranda Stultz, Zaylee Stultz, Emelia Warner, Andrea Frost-Murnen (Kevin), Eliana, Eva, Maria and Nadia Frost-Murnen.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday September 1, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH. 43615.
