Janet Rohrbacher Obituary
Janet M. Rohrbacher, age 88, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2022. She was born on March 11, 1934 in Sandusky, Ohio, and was a 1952 graduate of Margaretta High School where she met the love of her life, Duane "Rudy" Rohrbacher. They were married in 1955 in Sandusky, and moved to Toledo in the early 1960's, where they raised five children together. Janet and Rudy enjoyed live music and dancing together, until his passing in 1981. She loved gardening, reading, jigsaw puzzles, music, and games, especially Parcheesi, with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janet was deeply devoted to her family, and will missed by all, especially those who knew her by Mom, Nonnie, or Grandma Janet.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Florence (Welser) Wobser; in-laws, Charlie and Lola Rohrbacher; grandson, Danny Hubbs; favorite aunt, Mary Alice Ellis; best friend, Carol Garner; and her bulldog, Lil' Bit. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeffery (Cecil) Rohrbacher, Michael (Pamela) Rohrbacher, Mark (Tami) Rohrbacher, Kellie (Ray) Bailey, and Kristie (Ray) Birch; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and recently located siblings, Freya, Noreen, Jim, and Joe.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home â€" Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300), and on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., where a funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
