Schnell and Mikey,
We are praying for you and the rest of the family. Jaz is at peace and with our Lord and Savior. He is no longer suffering and can Praise God at all times. Take comfort in the fact that we can call on Jesus and his word say's "Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted" ( Matt 5:4)

Jaz, I remember the day you walked into my music classroom at Pickett Elementary. You were the the kid carrying those drum sticks and the drum key around your neck. It was always a joy to have you in class and no I didn't let you get away with anything but you were definitely one of my favorites. Just your struggle with health issues alone are a inspiration to many because you never lost your smile.
You will be missed greatly! Latonya Johnson-Crawford

To the Lyons Family,
Jaz was a shining star each day when I taught him in sixht grade a Pickett Elementary. His smile could light up the room and he always had a way of making us laugh. I remember his love of the drums and he played them for us on occasion. When he would visit the school when he was older, it was like I was visiting with a great friend, he was just so easy to talk to. When he was in high school, he was a cabin leader for TPS students, and I could feel the energy that he had while working with young people. I have wonderful memories of his square dancing up at camp with my son. I will always remember his smile and his upbeat personality. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time.

I remember seeing Jaz in the hallways everyday in school. He always had a smile on his face and could always make us laugh. He was a joy to be around although we only knew each other through Bowsher High School. I had the blessing to reconnect with him a year or so ago when he filled in as a drummer at my church. My prayers and sympathy goes out to his family and friends. May God comfort and keep you all through this difficult time.

To the entire Lyons Family: I was sadden to hear of Jaz's passing but grateful to know he has been raised as a Christian. He was a part of my English class at Bowsher High School and has left us with many found memories of his perseverence through adversity with humor.
