Jeri Albright Obituary

Jeri Albright

1945-2025

Jeri Albright (1945-2025), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 79, in Perrysburg, Ohio. Born on September 27, 1945 in Toledo, OH, Jeri was the youngest child of Charles and Emma Lykins.

Jeri grew up on the south end of Toledo and enjoyed spending her time at Boulevard Church and with her grandmother, Alice. She attended Macomber-Whitney High School, where she met her late husband of 60 years, Norm, who passed away in 2020. Jeri worked at the Toledo Probation Department before moving to Perrysburg, OH in 1975. Jeri also worked at the Waterville Townhall and Zepf Community Mental Health Center before opening up her own restaurant in Waterville, OH, called the Cappucino Café.

Jeri was known for her fun-loving personality, her generosity, and her spontaneity. She was a great cook and was famous for her cinnamon rolls. Her hobbies and interests were her family and she loved being with them at home and on vacation. Jeri was always planning a party for someone and she didn't miss an opportunity to dress-up with her grandkids. Jeri (aka Nana) was Sponge Bob SquarePants, Lala from the Teletubbies, Jessie from Toy Story and the Easter Bunny.

She is survived by her children, Larry Albright (Theresa) of Grand Rapids, OH and Shelly Funderburg (Bill) of Westerville, OH; and four grandchildren, Alea Albright, Jack Funderburg (Elle), Emma Funderburg, and Noelle Albright; and special niece, Vicki Harkless (Bob).

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and commitment to family. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew her. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 at Boulevard Christian Church, 7041 Sylvania Ave. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, March 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Boulevard Christian Church. And, as Jeri would want it, a full catered lunch will follow the service. Flowers and donations can be sent to Boulevard Christian Church.

My heart goes out to Shelly, Bill, Jack, Emma, Larry and family. I have such fond memories of Mrs. Albright visiting us at Wittenberg and always bringing such fun treats and gifts! She was a joy to be with and always had us DG girls laughing! She keep close to us as the years when by and always said "you girls haven't changed a bit...still as pretty as ever!" I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We love you! xoxo, -amy

Shelly was a friend through high school. One of my fondest memories was spending the night with a group of friends and Mrs. Albright taking us to see Pete's Dragon.

Oh Shelly! I´m so sorry for your and your family´s loss of your mom! I have such fond memories of her from our childhood slumber parties, birthdays, and any gathering, where she added a flare of fancy and fun. I remember in high school stopping by the `Cappuccino Cafe´ on many occasions and of course she tended to my snacks with love and creativity.
May peace find you and your family in her loss!
