Jerry Mahaney Obituary
05/21/1937 - 05/19/2025
Jerry W. Mahaney, 87, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 19, 2025, at his home. Jerry was born May 21, 1937, in Ross Township, Ohio, to James and Vera Mahaney. He was a graduate of Olney High School and married the love of his life, Roselee Hammell, August 27, 1955. Jerry was a member of Carpenters Union Local #1138 for over 40 years and retired from Owens Community College in 1999. He enjoyed round and square dancing and was a member of the Maumee Elks Lodge. Jerry enjoyed wintering in Texas, fishing, gardening, and working in his barn. His greatest love was his family whom he enjoyed spending time with.
Jerry is survived by his children, Lonna (Mike) Meadows and Mark Mahaney; daughter-in-law, Linda Mahaney; grandchildren, Kristy (Matt) Brown, Kylie (Rob) Scislowski, Tony (Beth) Meadows, Phillip (Leslie) Mahaney, and Nicholas (Rowan) Meadows; along with many great-grandchildren, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roselee; son, James Mahaney; sister, Sharon Hieber; brother, Richard Mahaney; and great-granddaughter, Keira Meadows.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280), Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until funeral service at 6:00 pm. Private interment: Williston Cemetery. Preferred memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.
