Jerry Tarquinto Obituary
Jerry Tarquinto, born May 3, 1945, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sarah Ann, WV to Joseph and Hattie Tarquinto, he lived most of his adult life in South Toledo.
Jerry was an extremely loving father to his three sons, Jeffrey, of Clearwater, FL, Jody (Nancy), of Flat Rock, MI, and John (Elizabeth), of Plymouth, MI. He was a beloved grandfather to Tyler, Sophia, Ryan, Dominic, Gracie and Noah. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Jerry is also survived by his dear sister, Delores (Dave) Price; devoted brother, Joseph (Janie) Tarquinto; his friend and former wife, Sue (Jim) Mizerny; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his nieces, Diane Price, Kathy (Price) Jarzeboski and Trisha Rober.
Jerry loved to golf, and could often be found on the course at South Toledo Golf Club, or one of the many courses in Ohio and Michigan that he visited weekly with his cherished golfing buddies. If not golfing, you could find Jerry walking, traveling or attending Elvis festivals with his love, Donna Hunt.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6 from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., Toledo, OH. Memorial donations may be made to Sunshine Children's Home of Maumee, OH. http://www.mightycause.com/organization/Sunshinecommunities.
