Joan Noe Obituary

NOE
Joan Marie
Joan Marie Noe, age 84, of St. Clare Commons, Perrysburg, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born October 23, 1931, in Toledo to Lawrence and Margaret Oberhausen. Joan graduated as Valedictorian from Notre Dame Academy in 1949 and went on to obtain her nursing degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
Her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Daniel J. died in 2013. She will be dearly missed by her children, James (Lynn) of Pittsburgh, Thomas (Mary) of Genoa, Nancy Brzozka (Tim), Linda McKee (Mike), Marcia Schoen (Joseph) of Sylvania Township and Kristen Dominique (Jeff) of Curtice; son-in-law, Paul Wulf of Curtice; daughter-in-law, Marcia Noe of Findlay; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were daughter, Peggy Wulf; son, Gregory; sister, Mary Kathleen Graff and brothers, Richard and John Oberhausen.
While raising her 8 children, she worked nights as an RN at The Toledo Hospital in the newborn nursery. Her selfless spirit continued to overflow into her 20 years of volunteerism with Heartbeat of Toledo where she also served as a board member.
Joan was a 50+ year faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she served on the Engaged Couples Marriage Preparation Team and as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharistic to the homebound. Although she always put her family first, she also treasured the many friends she spent time with over the years including several bridge clubs. When her kids were grown, she and Dan enjoyed traveling the world, but more importantly creating and sharing many special memories that will always be cherished by her large and growing family.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff of St. Clare Commons where Joan
resided the last two years and her compassionate caregivers during her final days at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Heartbeat of Toledo, Christ the King Church or Notre Dame Academy.
The family will be receiving friends at Urbanski Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd., (North of Laskey) 419-475-5055 Wednesday, March 30, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will take place Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass begins at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

To the entire Noe family,
I am forever saddened by the loss of Joan. I knew her my entire life starting out as next door neighbors in Delaware. How blessed I was to have kept in such close touch with her since you guys all moved away in 1967. I will miss her forever. Lots and lots of love, Chris Sorber Fennessy

Great gram,
I wish I could have given you one last hug. You are one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever known. I've been blessed to have you as my great grandma and I will miss you dearly. You were so funny, without even meaning to be and always had kind words without judgement. I'm glad my little Eli got to meet his great great grandma. I'll never forget the look of pure awe on your face as you held him and told me how beautiful he was. You were loved by so many because of your beautiful spirit. Love you always. Give my grandma and great grandpa a hug for me.

While it's a tough time for those who remain, what a glorious day for Joanto spend Easter morning face to face with our Lord! Wow, how awesome was that for her!

Noe clan, please know that your mom & all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember your Mom as such a beautiful soul! She touched many lives with her service as a nurse and the work she did to help others in volunteering her time and talents.

Your Mother was such a wonderful example of kindness and caring. How proud all of you must be of her personal life experiences as a Mother of eight and as a professional RN and in all her volunteer work. Always giving back to those she loved.
