Joanne Marie "Jo" Gernheuser

October 28, 1930 - April 7, 2022

Joanne Marie "Jo" Gernheuser, 91, of Maumee, OH passed peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Jo is survived by her children, Julie (Paul) Heinrichs, Kenneth (Marlene) Gernheuser, Laurie (Steven) Brubaker; grandchildren, Allison, Laura, Jonathan, Paul, Ryan, Jordan and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Adele, Tabitha, Damin, Jace, Ophelia, and Henry; as well as her spirited and best buddie, Tucker (her Yorkie).

She was preceded by her husband, William Gernheuser.

Along with loving her home and family, Jo enjoyed all things nature. She had a generous heart, participating in the Toledo Community Foundation and giving to Veteran and Animal support organizations. In this vain, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Paws of War (www.pawsofwar.org)

Laurie, Ken and Julie, grief takes as long as it takes. There is no time limit. Just remember all the good memories you have and all your mother's loving friends.She will always be in your hearts. Love and hugs to you.
