Joe Ruth Obituary

Joe Ruth

March 9th, 1956 - October 13th, 2024

From the time Joe was just a young man, he knew he loved the "Art of the Sale." His passion honed his skill set as each new challenge came. Joe's list of professional accomplishments over his 51 years in the automotive industry are difficult to beat. Running some of the largest automotive dealer groups and top name dealerships in the country, Joe gained impressive notoriety solidifying his contribution and his value to their product and brand. Working his way up from the bottom, Joe took immense pride not only having knowledge of every job in house, but knowing how to do each job. He was incredibly hands on, overseeing every number and function from the back of the house to the front of the house. He was dedicated to forging a career out of helping people, recognizing their strengths to transform them from good to great, building strong, confident, and dynamic teams that were a force multiplier in all facets of the industry. Together, they broke records and shattered glass ceilings. Joe was a maverick leader of epic proportions in the automotive industry.

Joe leaves behind his wife, Tami; his sons, Michael (Tasha) Ruth and Christopher(Beth) Ruth; grandchildren, Karsyn, Olivia, Maci, Caleb, and Alexis; siblings Ralph (Joyce) Girkins, Chip (Pam) Girkins, Jennifer (Dennis) Mack, Tony (Monica) Ruth, Sarah Ruth.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Connie Ruth; siblings, Johnny, Greg, and Julie.

Joe relished in providing memorable and lasting opportunities for his sons Michael and Christopher. As they grew into adulthood, he mentored them in the automotive industry, promoting knowledge and independence while working along side them. Joe was deeply proud of the men they became and the lives they have established. Beyond all of Joe's success, telling people about his kids and grandchildren brought him pure joy. As we celebrate Joe's life, we honor the profound impact he had on those around him and the difference he made. The impact of Joe's passing will be broadly felt, and he will be sincerely missed by those who had a genuine connection with him.

A celebration of life will be determined at later date.

We are saddened and will miss you Joe
You always were my biggest cheerleader. When I donated my kidney you cheered me on from day one and were so proud. When I decided to run for Town Council there you were again. When I went on to be a Lab Technician you cheered and bragged. You always pushed Mike and I to do great things. You always encouraged and never doubted for a minute that it wouldn't happen. And you were always right. Your support.always meant alot to me and us and you will be truly missed.
You were a always making me feel welcomed and loved when I visited Tami and encouraged us to have fun. I will miss our secrets shares for wrinkles and laughs. And ofcourse loving arguments. What a good brother in law we had for sure. Until we meet again buddy.

Joe was my best friend, the love of my life, my everything. His passing has left me heartbroken. I will cherish the years we spent together as he was such an amazing person, he lit up evry room he walked into. His lively spirit and generosity will be remebered by everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed.
