John Barton Obituary

BARTON
Rev. John Eddie
Rev. John Eddie Barton was born on October 12, 1933, in Palastine, Arkansas to Tommie and Sarah Barton. He peacefully made the transition from this earthly life to the everlasting life on October 4, 2016, while in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. John was a Korean War Veteran, a retired U.S. Postal worker, and a 32nd degree Mason, Amazon Lodge #4, St. Matthews Consistory #24.
He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Christine Barton; son, Dale Barton; daughter, Rená Barton; brothers, Asie Ishmeal, Sylvester, Tommie, Jimmy and Stanley Barton.
Surviving is his brother, Don Barton; grandson, Daylin Smith; granddaughter, Dionna Smith; along with 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Special thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio staff.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2008 Valentine Street, Rev. Jarius Everett pastor, wake 10:00 a.m., with funeral following at 11:00 a.m. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
