Johnnie SHARP Obituary

SHARP Johnnie B. Jr. Johnnie B. Sharp Jr., age 70, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 in Toledo, Ohio. Johnnie grew up in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Toledo in the early 1960's. A graduate of Eastern High School in Detroit, Class of 1959. He retired from the Lucas County Work Release Department in 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie B. Sharp, Sr. and Dortha M. Sharp, and brother, Franklin Sharp. He is survived by children, Cheryl Stanley (nee Sharp), Michael Sharp, and Johnathan Sharp, Sr.; sisters, Annette (Gerald) Schley and Glennette Sharp; brother, Homer Heath, and two grandchildren, Laurie (Nikki) Sharp and Johnathan Sharp, Jr. Visitation will be at the Swanson Funeral Home, 806 E. Grand Blvd., Detroit, Michigan on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Family visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2012, 10:00-10:30 a.m. and funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at New Christian Missionary Baptist Church 11025 Kercheval, Detroit, Michigan.

Johnny, I can not believe that you went up to see your parents and all of your other friends/family whom you loved. It seems like yesterday Hal asked you to get me at LCAPD and we walked back to WR laughing, arm and arm. Of course you were holding me up, while we were walking, dang MS. I will always miss you. Your family and friends will also be in my prayers.
