Jon Warnke Obituary

WARNKE

Jon Leonard

God called Jon L. Warnke, age 42, suddenly December 11, 2012, to be a Guardian Angel to those who believe. Jon was born September 24, 1970 to Lon Sr. and Judy (Swiczkowski) Warnke in Toledo. Jon joins his brother, Lon Jr. in Heaven to play together once again, and to look after us left behind.

Jon graduated from Start H.S. in 1988, before serving his country in the U.S. Army for 2 years. Jon then graduated from the U of Texas in Austin, TX in 1994. Jon's smile and laugh was his trademark throughout his life. Jon's dedicated workout sessions later in life helped him commit to his job in sales, especially his last job as account executive at Time Warner Cable in Dallas, TX.

Jon is survived by his parents, Lon Sr., Judy Lapinske, and stepmom, Lynne Warnke; also many, many friends and associates in Texas and relatives and friends here in the Toledo area who are sorely going to miss him.

Memorial Services for Jon will be at Memorial Lutheran Church on Douglas Rd. at Noon, January 12th. In lieu of flowers, donations should be one's choice or Memorial Lutheran. Officiating the service will be Pastor Craig Sholl.

Wow, such a loss. Jon and I served in the Army together, first at Goodfellow and then at Field Station Kunia. Great guy!

Dearest Jon,

We met by chance, worked together by design, were friends by choice. Your smile was 1 million watts, your charm knew no bounds. You were always just around the corner, looking out for opportunities for us to network and grown our businesses. I will always be grateful for you.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was a wonderful example of a good man. I know you were proud of him.

God keep you in his hands - can't wait to see you again.

My dearest Jon,

I never forget the day we met at the Pink Cadillac. When we found out we had the same birthdate, it felt like we were destined to meet and be together. Perhaps we met when we were too young and had too much ahead of us to learn in life. None-the-less, you were my first love and will always have a place in my heart. We shared so many memories that are still vivid in my mind... I'm so glad we were able to reconnect after all these years. You were a great friend when I was going through some tough times and I don't know what I would have done without your support. You went through some tough times yourself, but you were finally at a place in life where you were at peace with your family and with God. I have some comfort knowing that you will be watching over all of us, just as you always did.

Love always,
Lina

These were simpler and happy times.. I'll always cherish them..

Jon was one of the best people I have ever met in my life and one of my best friends. He was always there for me in every situation and I feel like he made me a better person. He had a huge heart and shared it with so many people. God definetelty blessed him and now he is in his presence in heaven watching over all of us. I couldn't have asked for a better person in my life and he will be greatly missed. We will all be together again one day. Love you and miss you always Jon :)

My Dear Jonny-Jon-Jon,

My insides collapsed when I learned you left us and you have no idea how different a place the world is without you. May you be smiling and at peace in the light with your brother Lon and those who left before you.

Your heart was so sweet and kind, it quickly merged with mine … yet so delicate it took you on some crazy rides before you'd shake off and come back. You'd always come back though -- to the warm, smart, silly, thoughtful and deeply caring person everyone close to you loved dearly.

To the Warnke and Lapinski family, you have my most sincere condolences for your loss. I am sure you know what an outstanding person you raised to be a man.

Much love,

Linda Wilson

Jon ... You where always there when I needed you! I will miss you forever! Never met such a good man in my life!

To Jon's parents ... I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your son ... He was a good man, and I have to say that you should be real proud of how you raised your son!

When that day does come for me, I will be happy that he will be one of those that I get to see again!

Love you always Jon!

Jon-Jon,
My heart cracked three years ago when Lon Jr. was taken from us so early, now my heart is completely broken with your passing. I do know though that the two of you are there in Heaven watching over us left behind.
You always wanted to be successful in life, believe me you were!!! As attested by the many accolades of your friends, associates, and peers at the two beautiful memorials, one in Dallas, then one here in Toledo. You meant so much to so many and are sorely missed by us all!!!
There are many what's and why's that we'll never know till we meet again, which I'm sure we will. We already had plenty of angels watching over us, but God needed you for something special
Loving you and Lon Jr., always, Dad

I miss you all the time, and I wish we could have more time with you. Rachel rescued a kitten outside shortly after your passing. I named him after you, and sometimes imagine he is you reincarnate. It is a funny thought because he is the most playful and rambunctious cat I've ever met, much like you. Naturally I had to keep him. I am grateful to have wonderful memories with you. Love you lots.

Gabby says " I love you and I hug you". We miss you so much. I think about you everyday and we talk about you everyday. I know you are with our Lord and Savior. I trust that life doesn't end with death and I know you are forever with God as he is forever with us. You will always be with us in memory and in prayer. We will never forget your love. Till I see your beautiful face again, may your soul rest above the gates of heaven. Love Always and Forever.

Jon, I miss u so much. I will cherish the time we were able to spend together last year when u stopped into town for a few days. For whatever reason you were taken from us, it was way too soon. You were a great cousin & friend even tho we didn't see much of each other since u lived so far away. You are now back together with Lonny once again also taken all too soon. You are another angel added to my long list of angels. Until we meet again some day. I luv u Jonny. RIP
