Joseph Jasinski Obituary

JASINSKI Joseph James Joseph James Jasinski, age 76, of Whitehouse, Ohio, entered into eternal rest Monday evening, May 7, 2007, at Whitehouse Country Manor. He was born May 1, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Telesfore and Hedwig (Switeck) Jasinski. Joseph was a 1953 graduate of The University of Notre Dame and received his Masters Degree from the University of Chicago. Joseph was an economist and senior staff member of the United States Congress, for Ludlow Ashley, U.S. Congressman of northwest Ohio. He was a graduate and first recipient of the Evan's Caddy Scholarship for State of Ohio Inverness Club. Joseph was a lifetime member and very active in the Catholic community. He was a member of the Notre Dame club alumni. He was an avid golfer and raised two sons who were semi-professional golfers. Joseph is survived by his children, Germaine Jasinski of Leesburg, VA, John L. (Amy) Jasinski of Birmingham, AL, Janine (Thomas) Costello of Wake Forest, NC and James (Julie) Jasinski of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Kate, Zach, Ben, Sam, Luke, Kevin, Wyeth, Fiona, Jack, Jacob and Janie. Also surviving are his brother, Rev. John B. Jasinski of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Mary Rauber of Columbus, OH; and his aunt Mary Adamski of Toledo, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Richard Catholic Church in Swanton at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 10th, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Joseph's brother, Rev. John B. Jasinski and Rev. Dan Zak will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Drive, Swanton, Ohio 43558. Arrangements by Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton.
