Joseph Kubasek Obituary

KUBASEK Joseph Verland "Joe" Joseph Verland "Joe" Kubasek, 81, of Oregon, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at his home. A U.S. Army veteran, he was born on September 7, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey. Joe retired after working as a self-employed salesman and painter. Surviving are his wife, Nancy; children, Nancy K. Kubasek-Browne, Susan A. Kubasek, and Joseph L. Kubasek; brother, Veral Kubasek; sister, Ruth Brokate; granddaughter, Lauren; and his loving kitty cat, Angel. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. and Emma (Bruns) Kubasek; brothers, Harold and Vernon Kubasek; and sisters, Verla Grant and Jewell Cass. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon. Tributes in Joe's name may be made to the Paws And Whiskers Cat Shelter, Inc., 32 Hillwyck Dr., Toledo, OH 43615.
